MSNBC suspends Mark Halperin for Obama remark

MSNBC has suspended political analyst and Time magazine writer Mark Halperin indefinitely over a remark he made about President Obama Thursday morning...."Are we on the seven-second delay?" Halperin asked.

"We have it. We can use it. Go for it. Let's see what happens," co-anchor Joe Scarborough replied.

"I thought he was a dick yesterday," Halperin replied, sending the hosts into a brief moment of panic.

Palin fuels presidential bid speculation in Iowa

Republican Sarah Palin said on Tuesday she is still considering a potential 2012 presidential run, though her daughter said she has already made up her mind and is keeping the decision secret for now.

Glenn Beck: This Show Has Become A Movement (a Bowel Movement)

Glenn Beck began his final show on Fox News where he'll be for the foreseeable future: outside the building, and not on TV.

"We've done some amazing things together," Beck, flanked by at least one bodyguard, told viewers as he showed them the view of the set from the street, noting the bulletproof glass windows that were installed "for a myriad of reasons."...Beck is leaving, he said, because his show has outgrown the medium.

"This show has become a movement," he said. "It doesn't belong on television. It belongs in your homes, in your neighborhoods--not on TV."

Apparently, a pipe with marijuana in it was found buried in Shakespeare’s garden. That’s amazing. Shakespeare had a garden? If Shakespeare knew this was going on, he’d be rolling in his grave — rolling a huge joint. - Craig Ferguson

Stephen Colbert's PAc Will Go Where No PACs Have Gone Before

The Federal Election Commission says comedian Stephen Colbert can use his TV show's resources to boost his political action committee. But he must publicly disclose some major expenses as in-kind contributions from the show's corporate owners.

Odd News

This image provided by NASA Wednesday June 29, 2011 shows the galaxy best known as Messier 78, the two round greenish nebulae are actually cavities carved out of the surrounding dark dust clouds. The extended dust is mostly dark, even to Spitzer's view, but the edges show up in mid-wavelength infrared light as glowing, red frames surrounding the bright interiors. The image from NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope exposes the depths of this dusty nebula with its infrared vision, showing stellar infants that are lost behind dark clouds when viewed in visible light. A string of baby stars that have yet to burn their way through their natal shells can be seen as red pinpoints on the outside of the nebula.  Photo/NASA
