A pygmy elephant in Borneo sporting a satellite tracking collar. World Wildlife Fund has outfitted five pygmy elephants -- a newly determined subspecies of Asian elephant -- with collars that transmit their locations via GPS signals and satellites on a daily basis. The study will help scientists better understand the conservation needs of this endangered species, which is found only on the northeast tip of the island of Borneo in Malaysia.
