Senate Panel Approves Redistricting Bill AUSTIN, Texas - Despite opposition from Democrats, a Senate committee on Wednesday approved a bill to redraw congressional districts that would likely give the Texas GOP an advantage in Washington...
The new map appears as if it could give Texas Republicans as many as 22 seats in Congress, compared to 10 seats for Democrats. The delegation is now split 17-15.
Gov. Rick Perry convened a special session after House Democrats fled the state during the regular legislative session in May to break a quorum and effectively kill the redistricting bill. |
Just think, Arnold Schwarzenegger may be the next Governor of California. The last GOP actor that was governor of that state was Ronald Reagan. This whole scenario is more frightening than THE TERMINATOR.

ALL HAT NO CATTLE TRIVIA: The police commander that executed a Vietcong prisoner died in Virginia, in 1998, where he operated a pizza parlor. Isn't it comforting to know that this murderer was allowed to live here in the USA while the conservative cartoonist who did a similar cartoon showing Bush getting shot, was investigated by the Secret Service? What a country.
General Loan's obituary from The New York Times, July 16, 1998: Nguyen Ngoc Loan, the quick-tempered South Vietnamese national police commander whose impromptu execution of a Viet Cong prisoner on a Saigon street in the Tet offensive of 1968 helped galvanize American public opinion against the war, died on Tuesday at his home in Burke, Va. He was 67 and had operated a pizza parlor in nearby Dale City. Source: Wellesley University http://www.wellesley.edu/Polisci/wj/Vietimages/vcexec.htm |
