John Ashcroft, a devout Pentecostal, awaits Senate confirmation as U.S. attorney general

Ashcroft isn't speaking  in tongues to his Democratic critics  but in sign language

John Ashcroft, devout Republican and Pentecostal, in that order, goes before the Senate today for confirmation. Ashcroft feels unfairly targeted by the Democrats.   He sure was able to dish it out to President Clinton's nominees but can't take the heat when it's his turn.
