Another Sexist Democrat, Oh My

Barack Obama and Joe Biden have been saving their fire on the stump for McCain and all but ignoring Sarah Palin. But a nervous supporter who introduced Biden in Flat Rock didn’t have any qualms about jabbing the Alaska governor.

“Barack Obama has made an intelligent choice for the vice presidency,” said Barbara Theaker from the podium, “How so very different this is from that bucket of fluff that the Republican candidates have chosen for the same position.”

I'm glad you don't portray Sarah Palin as a dumb woman in over her head. I loved the toon you did Do you know the difference between Sarah Palin and Dick Cheney? It showed she is comparable to being as tenacious as Cheney. You used fear in the right way.lol

It's interesting to see how a female Democrat, as yourself views Sarah Palin through your toons.

Why the NYTimes WaPo or the Comedy Channel hasn't hired you to do a comedy page for them is beyond me but I bet a lot has to do with it your being a woman. If you were a Marlboro Man in your website banner, Lars Casey, instead of you, Lisa Casey, you'd be making six figures.

I cringe when I read statements from my fellow Democrats insulting Palin, calling her a "bucket of fluff" or "McCain had chosen a running mate whose primary qualification seems to be  that she hasn’t had an abortion." -- Carol Fowler

At least Carol Fowler apologized for that crude remark.

The bottom line is the media is misogynistic. Hell, so is most of America. The media beat Hillary up about her hair, her clothes, her voice, her laugh and the vast majority of US editorial cartoonists (99% male) loved to work the words bitch, shrill, witch, fish wife into their sexist Hillary cartoons. I know, I look at editorial cartoons daily for this website and was disgusted how Hillary was and still is  portrayed. And now, the Republicans are whining how sexist the media is towards Sarah Palin??

I won't denigrate Sarah Palin's accomplishments - I don't know any other 44 year old woman with five kids that is a governor of a state. But don't think I won't hesitate to make fun of her policies such as the toon I did where Palin is saying "Shooting wolves from a helicopter is nature's birth control" -  I don't need to take cheap shots and call her sexist names, her actions speak for themselves.
