"We begin tonight
in Washington, where Barack Obama has most likely just finished his address to
the nation, no doubt shocking observers with his call for a global Christian
crusade. I don't think anybody saw that coming. And he also introduced the
poverty relief program that included a plan to, this is interesting, lift the
societal taboos on eating adorable animals. He actually ended his speech tonight
with the phrase, 'We're coming for you, kittens. And we're bringing the A-1.'"

Hi Lisa,
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal announced Friday that he will decline stimulus money
specifically targeted at expanding state unemployment insurance coverage,
becoming the first state executive to officially refuse any part of the federal
government’s payout to states.
it's obvious what's happening here. Jindal's presidential ambitions are
distracting him from focusing on what's good for his state. "...I think he's
been tapped as the up-and-coming Republican to petition a run for president in
2012. Remember, Jindal gave the Republican response to Obama's address to
Congress Tuesday.

the use of faux Senate letterhead in a fundraising letter on behalf a

Brownback’s office initially denied knowledge of the letter — which bore his

Subject: People who steal your artwork
Lisa,
Thieves are just that. Thieves.
Its one thing for other websites to post your toons but to remove your signature just shows they are willing to steal.
Sue them! I saw a recent toon of yours last week (your toons are very unique and memorable) with your signature removed on a very popular "Democratic" website. That same website sells illegal DVDs of Led Zeppelin AND they brag about it!!!!! I'm not going to that site anymore. There's enough stealing going on in this country, just look at Wall St.
Ben
PS I'll keep my eyes open for you Lisa. I have nothing better to do I'm unemployed.
99.9% of people who post my toons DON'T remove my signature, but those that do intentionally, are breaking the law. The site you are speaking about, which I will leave unnamed, did correct the error. I think he must have a crappy graphic program as he has cut off my sig several times before. But he shouldn't be selling any artist's work w/o their permission. It's illegal and immoral and he should know better.
I encourage people to use my web art. It brings people to my site! AHNC got popular because Buzzflash.com first ran a link to my toons in 2001. Big hug to Mark Karlin, editor of Buzzflash!
People love to post them in forums, on their own blog pages, etc. and that is a good thing.
Thanks for keeping your eyes open, Ben. And good luck on finding a job!

President
Obama's speech to Congress last night might have emphasized urgency over
historical accuracy when he stated, "And I believe the nation that invented the
automobile cannot walk away from it."
Many inventors contributed to the rise of the car in modern-day life.
But the U.S. Library of Congress credits German inventor Karl Benz with creating
the first true automobile that ran on an internal combustion engine.
