Politics Questioned in Hospital Plan
Proposed children's facility
in Iraq is backed by first lady and linked to a Bush family friend.
LA Times 2-24-04
WASHINGTON — Earlier
this year, First Lady Laura Bush formed an unusual alliance with the White House
National Security Council to fund a new state-of-the-art children's hospital in
Iraq.
But rather than being embraced as a welcome addition to a nation with a
shattered healthcare system, the proposed hospital has quietly become a
battleground....

More Elephant Email
Lisa,
While I can appreciate a good argument, I came across your website
and had to laugh not at your political cartoons but specifically at you.
I have a middle of the road political agenda and want what's best for
this country. You, however, are so far to the left it's absurd. You
call the President a war criminal and praise John Kerry. Every left wing
person wants to point out Bush's military record like it's new news.
First of all it was brought out in the last election and he has
committed no wrong doings. If you call him a criminal because of Iraq...look
at your golden boy Kerry..he voted in support of going into Iraq without
UN backing. I find it amusing and often annoying that there is a
constant need to remind leftist extremists, who hate Bush just to hate him,
that the man you so often praise (ie. Kerry) voted WITH Bush on so many
of the reasons you degrade Bush. You might be a left winger if you
find fault with military action in Afghanistan..remember 911??? They
housed Osama!! Your sight is so leftist it makes me want to cry. I wonder
how old you are....your picture tells me maybe high school or early
college..if I'm mistaken then so be it...and if I'm not...and even if I
am...grow up...life is not la la land and everybody can't be nice to
everybody all the time...get a grip on life and find out the actual facts
on situations before you throw out opinions and generalizations.
-Chad Bowker
cbowker2@lnc.com
You are a prime example of how a little bit
of information is dangerous. You spout accusations about me without knowing
anything about my website. Typical of the right wing.
I was glad that our military went after Osama in Afghanistan---I was angry that Bush switched the war in Afghanistan to the war in Iraq. NO WMDs were found or even USED by Saddam! And over 500 Americans are dead because of Bush's pre-emptive strike in Iraq. That is not la la land as you say. It is reality.
If you had bothered to read About Us, you would find out all about me. But obviously you choose to attack me instead of getting the facts. Thanks for thinking I look so young...I eat right, exercise and vote.
I go to great pains to make sure I have factual info on my site....show me where I don't.
By the way, John Kerry believed Bush when he said Saddam had WMDs and was about to use them. You should be concerned about the distortions of Bush.
"if you had the opportunity to see me in my
American flag thong, you would drop to your knees and arise a Democrat."
I received dozens and dozens of responses to that comment I made! See, I am from another generation where the word THONG had an entirely different meaning. See my American flag thongs below....scroll down.

Sorry to disappoint you guys! I'll run a pic of me tomorrow that you will find more titillating!
"Well, first he dressed up like Top Gun on
an aircraft carrier. Then he dressed up like Mr. Green Jeans on his phony ranch.
And then he dressed up like a NASCAR fan before leaving the Daytona 500 early,
before the checkered flag.
So here's my suggested slogan for Bush: The biggest
right-wing cross-dresser since J. Edgar Hoover hung up his brassiere."
