Jesse Ventura Comeback
Conspiracy theorists awaiting Wednesday
night's premiere of "Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura" might take interest
in a curious comment Ventura made in the Los Angeles Times this weekend.
Ventura, who has been doing the media rounds promoting his new venture on TruTV,
told the paper that MSNBC cancelled his show "Jesse Ventura's America" in 2003
because he did not support the Iraq War.
He
said the network "in essence" paid him to be silent, which allowed him to
purchase a house in Mexico.

Subject: My 2 cents
Lisa,
After reading some of your letters today I felt I had another point of view to
offer. I would have never voted for McCain and I did not vote for Obama- I voted
for Ralph Nader. My reasoning is this: both McCain and Obama come from the same
system that has been giving us candidates for way too long. Both are financed by
the same system, both owe favors to the same system and both will repay the
members of the system- and the members of that system is not your average
American. Nader has accomplished a lot for the country and he has done it
without being a part of the system- thus he does not owe any debts that have to
be repaid and he can govern for the average American for a change. Obama has
promised change but he has not delivered nearly as much as he could and he is
following bush policy too much. He is letting the republiCANTS run his
presidency. He is reaching across the aisle to people who think compromise is a
weakness. He should reverse all of the bush regime's acts and push through the
Democratic agenda while he has the power to do so. By letting the republiCANTS
dilute his efforts they will assure that he cannot clean up their mess and they
will lay the blame at his feet- and millions of people will put them back in
charge in 2012. Obama needs to deliver on his promises using a bully pulpit or
else he will go down in history as a failure - the first African American
RepubliCANT president.
Rick
I hope you're wrong about Obama. But I know a lot of AHNC viewers feel exactly as you do.
I wish he wasn't escalating the war in Afghanistan, but he's making good on THAT campaign promise, much to my chagrin.
Thanks for writing Rick, your 2 cents are always welcome here.

In this photo
taken Thursday, Nov. 15, 2009, Ariel, a Leonberger dog owned by Paul and Mary
Ann Smith of Powell, Wyo., lies happily surrounded by her brood of 18 puppies, 9
males and 9 females. Ariel's litter, born in late October, set a new worldwide
record for the number of surviving Leonberger puppies in one litter. I would
love one of those puppies to keep me company.
