Uncertainty over US plans as war enters 10th year
..;looking back at the first years of the war,
the effort was underfunded from the start. When the Bush administration's
attention shifted to Iraq in 2003, the Taliban began to regroup. After
several years of relative calm and safety, the situation in Afghanistan
began to deteriorate around 2006. The Taliban have steadily gained strength
since then. And bin Laden remains alive. |

Subject: What can I do?
Dear Lisa,
I wish I had money to donate to you because you deserve it providing a daily escape for me, hell, I wish I had a job, too.
I can go to my library and use the computers to read your site due to my "liberal" tax dollars.
Please stay online.
How are you? And what are your future plans?
Joseph
Thank you for your email. It means a lot to hear from my readers. You can always contribute by telling someone about ahnc.
I'm OK. Still feeling the effects of radiation but each day I feel a little bit better. My health is better than my website/fundraiser or so it seems. lol
My future plans for now is to continue with ahnc...time will tell.
I produce ahnc on 28K phone modem, hence I have been posting much later than normal and don't get me started on trying to open/answer my emails.
I am trying to get it together to return to the states soon as my 88 year old mother was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I may bring her down to Costa Rica as the cost and quality of life would be so much better here.
My son will also be arriving in late October from China. I will be meeting him in south Florida at my mother's. It will be the first time I have seen him since before his accident, almost two years. That will be the best medicine ever.
Joseph, good luck on your job hunt. Keep the faith.
